--+ 1 - The Bum
An old bum (William F Gates, not THE William Gates, but the name causes him plenty of grief) is half-asleep grasing a can os smash along the PC's entry route. Unless they all roll Difficulty 22 Stealth rolls, he notices them and mistakes at least one for his friend Jake Byers and calls out "Sparky! Dija get mah spray cheeze boy?!" in his loudest voice.

--+ 2 - The Midnight Caller
In the middle of sneaking about, the PC with the least convenient cel phone receives a call. Its a wrong number, but the guy (Charlie Martel who is at the Forlorn Hope) is drunk and calling from the Hope and can't understand anything said to him unless it is yelled into the phone. He'll call back repeatedly asking for Mike Laughren again and again as necessary... several times tonight, but again at least three times a week for a while.
(Side note: The Midnight Caller was the name of the radio show hosted by my old co-broadcasters Glenn Humplick and co-hosted by Tom Green of MTV fame, on CHUO radio in Ottawa)

--+ 3 - CancerMan
With a Difficulty 15 Awareness roll, the front man notices the smell of cigarette smoke from aroudn the corner ahead. It's just Janet Ramses snaking a cigarette somewhere out of the way since she can't smoke at home or at work.

--+ 4 - The Professional
Edward Bliss Jr, professional Prowler / Sneak (Ref 10, Int 9, Stealth 8, Hide / Evade 8, Sneak 8) in his ghostsuit, has taken an interet in the PC's activities. He follows the PC's on this job / op purely to see if they are worth contacting for similar jobs with him. If everything goes to hell he might give a helping hand, otherwise he'll just be around for paranoia's sake (removing traps the PC's set, recovering shell casings they leave behind and occasionally placing origami along their path).

--+ 5 - Ka-Boom!
It's hard to be sneaky when the next-door neighbours' domestic dispute has degenerated into an actual firefight between Mr and Mrs Harrold White. What's worse is that Julie White (Mrs Harrold White) has called her sister to pick her up, and she's a biomonitor away from being a certified cyberpsycho! Then throw in the family violence arm of NCPD followed by the CSWAT teams and we have a recipe for quiet stealthy action.

--+ 6 - Monowire Traps? How dis he know we were coming?
The lead man notices a monowire tripline with a Difficulty 21 Awareness roll, otherwise he notices it when it catches on his ankle as he walks by, dealing 2d6 damage, 1/3 SP (3d6 if the character is running). Generally this will result in the removal of said person's foot. A bit further along is a tripwired stungrenade (difficulty 18 awareness to spot it in time). Seems like their target is waiting for them. The reality is that another edgerunner did a run along this route last night and had left a few surprises for potential persuit (which never showed - the run was successful and he's Edward Bliss Jr is happy at home with his hot new pirate software).
